Enhanced Graphics Pack

The Enhanced Graphics Pack increases Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition to ultra-high fidelity resolution. Before you attempt to install, please make sure that your system requirements meet or exceed the minimum specs for this content: 2.4 Ghz i5 or greater or AMD equivalent, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia® GTX 650 / AMD HD 5850 or better


You can skip downloading of Enhanced Graphics Pack and voiceover files or you don’t need. Here is the list of selective/optional files:

  • fg-optional-hd-pack.bin (Download only if you have an Ultra HD display, otherwise it’s pretty useless)
  • fg-selective-english.bin (REQUIRED for all languages withour their own voiceovers)
  • fg-selective-all-non-english.bin (REQUIRED for all languages but English)
  • fg-selective-chinese.bin
  • fg-selective-french.bin
  • fg-selective-german.bin

Backwards Compatibility

This repack is NOT backwards compatible with previous AoE2DE repack.

BTW, the game works under Windows 7, but is freaking memory hungry. Eats around 5-6 GB of RAM w/o Ultra textures and >10 GB with Ultra textures on a freshly created game map. So if you experience crashes, you should buy more RAM or increase page file at least.

Age Of Empires Definitive Edition Free

  • Go to this page and select install.
  • If it still doesn't work go to your Library and right click to Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
  • Select Properties.
  • Go to DLC tab and enable UHD Pack.
  • Downloading should start afterwards (16 GB).
